Everton want Keane Lewis-Potter and have now made contact to try and sign the winger despite interest from Leeds United.

The Toffees need major reinforcements this summer and should soon have a big signing coming in as James Tarkowski prepares to arrive from Burnley.

That will be a free transfer with Everton needing to spend their limited budget carefully this summer.

Frank Lampard and Kevin Thelwell are bound to have big targets in mind, some that will cost considerable transfer fees.

With that in mind, Everton are now looking towards Hull City winger Keane Lewis-Potter as a potential signing.

iNews reported in May that Everton were eyeing up Lewis-Potter – but that Hull could demand up to £30million for the wide man.

Everton would surely need a big sale to pay that kind of money, but will surely try to drive that price down anyway.

The Daily Mail now claim that Everton have enquired about Lewis-Potter, making first contract to try and tee up a deal.

Lewis-Potter racked up 12 goals and three assists in a superb Championship campaign last term.

Everton understandably want Lewis-Potter in the hope of him becoming another Jarrod Bowen, who left Hull for West Ham in 2020 and became a Premier League star.

Yet Everton may find this transfer battle a little tricky given the rival interest in his signature.

iNews have reported this week that Leeds United fancy signing Lewis-Potter and could move for him if Raphinha is sold this summer.

Leeds would seemingly have a bigger budget to work with than Everton will, especially if Raphinha leaves the club.

Add in interest from West Ham and Everton face a major battle for Lewis-Potter, but at least making an enquiry has set the wheels in motion for a potential move.
