Leeds want to keep Crysencio Summerville amid interest from new Premier League rivals Nottingham Forest.

The Whites have been focusing on incomings so far this summer after narrowly avoiding relegation.

Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen and Marc Roca have all arrived already, and more signings are expected.

There is also a keen focus on trying to keep hold of key players with Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha attracting interest.

There could be another potential departure though with winger Summerville a wanted man.

Leeds United want to keep Crysencio Summerville

Fabrizio Romano has taken to Twitter to report that Nottingham Forest and AZ Alkmaar both want to sign Summerville.

Romano suggests that Leeds are now busy trying to convince Summerville to stay and sign a new contract.

Leeds are thought to be in ongoing talks over Summerville’s future and hope for a resolution in the near future.

Summerville, 20, joined Leeds from Feyenoord for £1.3million back in 2020 after the club won promotion to the Premier League.

Picked out as a real talent for the future at Feyenoord, Summerville has long been backed for a big future.

First-team action has been hard to come by with Leeds though and his six Premier League appearances last season all came as a substitute.

Those appearances only amounted to 126 minutes with Summerville not quite in the first-team plans yet.

Six goals in 12 Premier League 2 displays showed Summerville’s potential, but he has been stuck behind Raphinha, Daniel James and Jack Harrison out wide.

That has given hope to the likes of AZ and Forest over a potential deal, with Leeds now scrambling to try and give Summerville a new contract.

Summerville’s deal expires next summer and if Leeds can’t secure a new agreement, Forest could well swoop in for the speedy wide man.
