Steam Summer Sale Game Hints Before 2022 Start Time

Valve aren’t known for being the most chatty company when it comes to upcoming events, but they have shared some decent information when it comes to the Steam Summer Sale 2022 for PC and Steam Deck. We now know for sure that the Steam Summer Sale starts at 6pm BST on Thursday, June 23, and ends on July 7 at the same time. For those in North America, that is 10am PT on the same dates in June and July 2022.

This was revealed in a short trailer for the event, with the official caption confirming: “Mark your calendars: The Steam Summer Sale will be offering sizzling savings on all sorts of games from June 23rd at 10am PT to July 7th (also at 10am PT).”

The same video also provides a few hints at what games will be included in the Steam Summer Sale 2022, with references made to several franchises throughout. The trailer highlights titles like Final Fantasy XIV Online, Elder Scrolls Online, and Ghostwire: Tokyo. There were also references made to Cyberpunk 2077, Civ 6, Rainbow Six Siege, Sims 4, and Forza Horizon 5, with Rust another possible title. Based on what was shown, fans can also expect some kind of discount for Monster Hunter Rise, FIFA 22, Red Dead Redemption 2, Rafe, Core keeper, and God of War.

Most Steam Sales have a theme, and a new one is expected to be announced by Valve on the day of the new sale going live. 2021 included the launch of fourteen themed pages featuring ‘micro-adventures’, each one leading to an animated sticker and all culminating in a ‘fate-forged badge’. There were also new game profiles available to unlock via the Points Shop, as well as animated backgrounds, mini-profiles, avatars, and colour schemes from different titles.
