Italian outlet CMW claim that Arsenal are weighing up a straight-swap offer to Juventus to sign French midfielder Adrien Rabiot – with Hector Bellerin going the other way. Bellerin spent last season on loan at Real Betis.
Rabiot, a seven-time league winner – six with PSG, one with Juve – has been a mainstay since joining the Old Lady in 2019. In three seasons, he has played 129 times. But Rabiot is about to enter the final year of his contract.
Reports earlier this week say that he has asked to leave Juventus, with Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle keen on the £13million-rated star. Now, Arsenal are considering a move to land the lofty midfielder.

Bellerin is also in the final year of his contract – but a permanent deal to Betis is yet to come to fruition. Previous reports say that Juventus do like the look of Bellerin, who like Rabiot is still only 27 years of age.
Now, CMW state that Arsenal are considering a straight swap. They say Arsenal have approached Rabiot in the past over a move, and the Gunners remain in the market for a midfielder despite the signing of Fabio Vieira.
Arsenal weighing up straight-swap offer: Rabiot with Bellerin
Vieira, of course, is a more attack-minded midfielder. Arsenal do need another defensive midfielder and Rabiot is ideal. Incredibly experienced, a winning mentality, excellent in the air, but a stunning array of passing – he is ideal.
While he is available on the cheap, a swap makes sense if Juventus are interested in Bellerin. The Gunners defender has not future at The Emirates and if Arsenal can convince Juve into a straight swap, it saves them some cash.
