Speaking on the Here We Go Podcast, Fabrizio Romano has been discussing Liverpool and their priorities this summer.
The Reds have already completed three signings this summer, and according to The Times, there will be no more incomings at Anfield this window.
Despite these reports, rumours have emerged stating that the Reds are interesting in bringing Georginio Wijnaldum back to the club, but according to Romano, there is no truth in these rumours.
According to Romano, Liverpool’s real priority right now is to extend the contract of Naby Keita as he enters the final year of his deal.
What’s been said?
Romano discussed Keita and a potential new contract.
“I wanted to clarify, many Liverpool fans have been asking me about Wijnaldum rejoining Liverpool, but there’s nothing, sources tell me that this is fake news, the real priority right now is to extend the contract of Naby Keita. Let’s remind you that they’ve already signed Fabio Carvalho and Darwin Nunez, but also Calvin Ramsay,” Romano said.

Renewals
It looks as though Liverpool’s transfer business is over and now all eyes are on renewing contracts for key players.
Joe Gomez is reportedly in line for a new deal, Naby Keita is also a priority according to Romano, and, of course, there’s also the small matter of securing Mohamed Salah’s future at Anfield.
Julian Ward has made three impressive signings already this summer, but now he will have a real test of his mettle as he attempts to renew these contracts.
It remains to be seen whether or not Keita, Gomez or Salah sign new deals.
