According to The Times, Lyon are interested in signing Liverpool attacker Takumi Minamino.

The Japanese forward looks to be on his way out of Anfield this summer, and he has plenty of suitors in England and abroad.

Leeds, Fulham and Monaco have all been linked, but now, Lyon have entered the race for his signature.

Minamino has a big decision to make this summer, and he’s in a rather interesting position.

On one hand, the Premier League is the biggest league in the world and Minamino will be earning tons of money if he stays in England, but on the other hand, Monaco and Lyon are two of Ligue 1’s most historic clubs and they remain perennial Champions League contenders.

Does Minamino want to follow the money or follow the glory?

Of course, there is also the factor of how much football he will play at any of these clubs.

One would imagine that Minamino would be a guaranteed starter at Leeds or Fulham, but with Lyon and Monaco possessing a number of talented attacking options, he may not be first-choice for either of those clubs.

The ‘brilliant’ attacker is in a funny position when it comes to deciding on his future, and we can only hope that he makes the right decision when the time comes.

One thing is for sure though, Minamino doesn’t look likely to be staying at Liverpool.
