Liverpool signing Calvin Ramsay is looking like a matter of time.

Sky Sports reported on Friday that Liverpool had agreed a £6.5 million deal with Aberdeen for the young Scot.

The 18-year-old is now set to undergo a medical ahead of joining Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Ramsay is reported to have had plenty of offers but his preference has always been a transfer to Merseyside, Sky Sports added.

And according to Scotland-based pundit Willie Miller, Liverpool will be getting themselves a ‘special player’ but warned that Ramsay will still have to work extremely hard to impress Klopp.

He told The Press and Journal: “He has all the tools to be that special player. However it will not be a case of it being handed to him. This is a fabulous opportunity for Ramsay and he has to be confident enough to grab it and make the most of it.”

This will be Liverpool’s third signing of the summer transfer window as Ramsay prepares to follow Fabio Carvalho and Darwin Nunez to Anfield.

However, it’ll also be their last.

According to The Times’ journalist Paul Joyce, the Reds won’t be signing anyone else between now and the end of the window.

Even though they have signed Nunez for a club-record £85 million, that might disappoint many Liverpool supporters.

They won’t be disappointed by Ramsay, but the fact they won’t do any more business until January will make it a relatively dull last couple months of the window.
