Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United are interested in signing Sander Berge from Sheffield United in the summer transfer window as a potential replacement for Manchester City target Kalvin Phillips, according to GiveMeSport.
GiveMeSport have reported that Manchester City will make an offer for Phillips, and that Leeds will accept if it is close to £50 million.
So, the West Yorkshire club will need a replacement.
And, according to the report, Sheffield United midfielder ‘Berge is emerging as a target’ for the Whites.
Leeds sporting director Victor Orta ‘has a good chance of landing’ of Berge if ‘a pursuit gets the green light’, according to GiveMeSport.
The Blades reportedly want £25 million for the 24-year-old Norway international midfielder.

In our view, Leeds United could be able to sign Sander Berge from Sheffield United in the summer transfer window.
If Phillips leaves for £50 million, then the West Yorkshire club will have money to spend.
The 24-year-old himself is likely to be tempted by a move to Leeds.
After all, Sheffield United will play in the Championship next season, while Leeds will feature in the Premier League.
Described by former Blades manager Chris Wilder as “unique” and “a complete midfielder” in VG in November 2020, Berge would make Leeds a better team.
