So, the Premier League fixtures for 2022-23 have been announced. For Arsenal, it is another away trip on a Friday night against London opposition – this time Crystal Palace – and Tottenham could do them a favour, by signing Marc Guehi.

Last season, a depleted Arsenal got their campaign off to a woeful start – losing 2-0 to newly-promoted Brentford. Ben White was bullied by Ivan Toney, and now, the Gunners go to Palace. Arsenal lost 3-0 at Selhurst Park in 21-22.

The Gunners will be looking to get off to much better start than they had in 21-22, and get revenge on Patrick Vieira’s side. Indeed, Palace have built themselves a basis to kick on and have a wonderful season under Vieira.

Keeping their 2021 signings is crucial – especially, as they will be losing Conor Gallagher who was only on loan. But Tottenham might have something to say about that, as they pursue a deal for England defender Guehi.

Tottenham could do Arsenal a favour by signing Crystal Palace ace Guehi

The Mail claim Tottenham are interested in a move to sign Guehi, who cost Palace £18million last summer from Chelsea. He has starred for the Eagles, clocking up 13 clean sheets and four goals in 42 Palace appearances.

His form has attracted not only the attention of Tottenham, but for England too. A player that has captained Palace seven times in his first season. The defender has since picked up three England caps.

So, a move to Spurs is on the cards for a player branded “fantastic” by Thomas Tuchel. Tottenham have made moves in the window quickly so far – and Guehi could be the centre-back they crave. It could, in turn, help Arsenal.

As Mikel Arteta looks to get the Arsenal campaign off to a flyer, a win against Palace is crucial. Tottenham signing one of Palace’s best players in Guehi before August 5 would do the Gunners a massive favour.
