Yves Bissouma joining Tottenham Hotspur is very much looking like a foregone conclusion.

Earlier this week, The Athletic reported that Tottenham had agreed a £25 million deal with Brighton & Hove Albion to sign the midfielder.

During the night, Fabrizio Romano revealed on Twitter that that the player would undergo a medical at Spurs at some point on Thursday.

All signs are pointing toward a transfer to North London – and even more so now after what his personal trainer has posted on Instagram.

Ty Paul sent Bissouma a good luck message on social media and claimed that his client ‘deserves Champions League football’ in what is a massive hint that his move to the Lilywhites is imminent.

Gary Lineker said in midweek that it would be an ‘excellent signing’ for Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici, but even that’s an understatement.

As Bissouma’s trainer pointed out, this is probably a £50 million or £60 million player – one whose contract expires next summer – and the fact that Spurs are getting him for £25 million is an enormous bargain.

Still only 25, he is nowhere near the peak of his career yet and that makes this such an exciting piece of business, particularly how well he has performed against Tottenham down the years.

Yves Bissouma joining Tottenham Hotspur seems only a matter of time from here on in.
