Kevin Campbell has claimed that Dusan Vlahovic is taking ‘us for a fool’ after the Juventus striker claimed that he didn’t know about Arsenal’s interest in him during the January transfer window.
Arsenal were keen to add a striker to their ranks during the winter transfer window, with then-Fiorentina hitman, Vlahovic, high on the club’s wishlist.
But rather than swap Serie A for the Premier League, the 22-year-old stayed put and secured a transfer across Italy to Juventus instead for a tad over £66 million, as reported by Sky Sports.

Now that the dust has settled on all of that drama, it has been re-ignited by the player himself, who spoke about Arsenal’s rumoured interest in him.
But, according to the player himself, he never spoke to anyone about a potential move to the Emirates and their interest, as he told The Telegraph.
But club legend Campbell was having any of it, as he shared that Arsenal’s rumoured interest in Vlahovic was ‘everywhere’, as he told the Highbury Squad.
“He knew he never spoke to Arsenal, there is a difference,” said Campbell. “He said ‘he never spoke to Arsenal’, which I can understand. No problem.
“Fiorentina would have had to give him permission to speak to Arsenal. But his agent did. Whether you believe it or not, his agent was speaking to the club. The agent keeps the player in the loop.
“The fact of the matter is that the player doesn’t need to speak to the club, until he gets permission. It’s impossible, especially nowadays for him not to know. I agree maybe he didn’t speak to Arsenal because he wasn’t allowed to.
“But to say that you ‘don’t know’ in the social media era. Come on! Someone is taking us for a fool. And I am 52-years-old and I am no fool – to say you didn’t know? It was everywhere! (the interest).”

ARSENAL STILL SEARCHING FOR A STRIKER…
Whilst the likes of Liverpool can write a textbook on how to run a club over the years, those at the Emirates have been pretty shambolic for a while now.
Back in January, when the club decided to let Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang go, they were looking for that striker and failed to bring anyone in.
Many felt it cost them in their Champions League race, with Tottenham beating Norwich City on the final day of the season to seal that fourth spot.
Fast forward to now and the Gunners are still searching for that all-important striker, and whilst Aubameyang was out of the door in January, Alexandre Lacazette has now followed suit after he re-joined Lyon.
