Football website 90Min claim Leeds are to beat six other clubs including West Ham and Wolves in the race to land Bayern Munich midfielder Marc Roca. Frankfurt, Villarreal, Sevilla and Betis are also looking at Roca.
The 25-year-old is likely to leave Bayern Munich this summer after just 24 appearances for the German champions in two seasons. It comes after joining Bayern from La Liga outfit Espanyol back in 2020.

Reports emerged last week from The Athletic’s Phil Hay that Leeds were showing interest in midfielder Roca. Now, it appears Leeds are closing in on nabbing the Spaniard’s signature, with a fee of £12million enough.
That is according to 90Min, who also report that Leeds are on pole and expect to get a deal done this week. They are set to elbow West Ham, Wolves, Frankfurt, Betis, Sevilla and Champions League semi-finalists Villarreal aside.
Leeds to beat six clubs including West Ham and Wolves in Roca race
It is a coup for Leeds. Not least because Roca is a brilliant player, once compared to Xabi Alonso. Not also because he will be joining for just £12million. But because of the calibre of clubs being brushed aside.
Villarreal reached the last four of the Champions League last term. Betis and Villarreal will be in Europe next term – albeit the Europa League and Conference League respectively. Sevilla will be in the Champions League.
West Ham will also be in the Conference League and are obviously situated in London while Wolves are known for their foreign recruits. So, for Leeds, who finished 17th last season, to nab Roca is a wonderful bit of business.
