According to The Telegraph, Liverpool are now expecting their asking price for Sadio Mane to be met by Bayern Munich.
The Reds have stood their ground and rejected two offers for the Senegalese attacker thus far, but now, they’re expecting Bayern’s third bid to match their asking price of over £40m.
Mane is reportedly keen to leave Anfield, and it looks as though Bavaria could be his next destination.
Indeed, this report states that the forward has already made an ‘informal’ agreement on wages with Bayern, and it looks as though it’s just a matter of time before this deal goes through.
Luckily, Liverpool seem to have a replacement lined up and ready to go.
Darwin Nunez is being tipped to make a club-record move to Anfield in this window, and the sale of Mane will provide the Reds with the necessary funds to finalise that transfer.
There will be many Liverpool supporters that will be sad to see Mane go. The former Golden Boot winner has been one of Jurgen Klopp’s most important players for almost six years now, and he’ll leave Merseyside as a bona fide club legend and one of the greatest wingers the Premier League has ever seen.
Bayern Munich will be getting a truly fantastic player, and with Robert Lewandowski seemingly on his way out, Mane’s arrival couldn’t have come at a better time.
The ‘phenomenal’ attacker looks to have played his final game for Liverpool.
