Speaking on the Talking Transfers Podcast, Graeme Bailey has been discussing Arsenal and their interest in Gianluca Scamacca.
The Italian striker has been linked with Arsenal over the past few weeks, and according to Bailey, the Gunners have done a serious amount of research on the 6 ft 5 striker.
Indeed, according to the journalist, Arsenal have even gone as far as to speak to Roberto Mancini about the striker, and the Italy boss has reportedly told Arsenal that he has everything it takes to be one of the best strikers on the planet.
What’s been said?
Bailey spoke about Arsenal’s interest in Scamacca.
“Arsenal have done their homework on him, they’ve spoken to Mancini about him. Mancini thinks he’s got everything to be one of the world’s best, he has some of Italy’s best after him, but it’s a player Arsenal love, they’ve done a lot of work with him. It’s relaxed them a but seeing him playing international football now, he looks the part as well, so that’s a bit of a relief. Arsenal like this boy and it’s one to keep a real eye on,” Bailey said.

Seal of approval
If you’re getting that sort of review from a man like Roberto Mancini then you must be a very special player.
To say that Mancini knows his stuff when it comes to rating footballers would be an understatement, the Italian has won a Premier League title with Manchester City as well as three Serie A titles with Inter alongside a Euro 2020 triumph with Italy.
If Mancini thinks you can be one of the world’s best players, then you must be absolutely fantastic.
Arsenal would be wise to make this move.
