Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara could reportedly play a role in Sadio Mane’s move to Germany.

The Reds attacker is heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich, who had a £21 million offer rejected this past weekend.

According to The Daily Mail, Liverpool will be looking for at least £35 million to sell the Senegal international.

Mane is out of contract at Anfield next summer but there appears to be zero opportunity of signing a new extension, with the player seemingly determined to leave.

And if he does wind up in Munich, well a Liverpool teammate could help him get settled.

That’s because The Daily Mail has reported that Thiago – who left the German giants to join Jurgen Klopp’s side for £20 million in 2020 – could let Mane use his Munich-based home.

The report claims that Mane is ‘thinking about’ staying in the Spain international’s home in a development which may ease his transition to life with the Bavarian giants.

Bayern’s £21 million offer was completely ridiculous.

Yes, his Liverpool contract expires next summer, but we’re still talking about one of Klopp’s best players, someone who hit 23 goals in all competitions last season.

So to offer £2.5 million less than what the Reds sound Rhian Brewster for, well the Bundesliga champions probably knew they weren’t going to succeed.

That being said, they could also get him for less than the £35 million Liverpool want, too.

The Premier League outfit don’t hold that many cards and won’t be willing to lose him on a free next summer, particularly if Mohamed Salah also leaves on a Bosman.

Liverpool have to sell this summer and therefore there’s opportunity for a compromise.
