Liverpool are closing in on Calvin Ramsay as the Aberdeen defender awaits permission to head to Merseyside for a medical.
The Reds now appear to be moving for Benfica striker Darwin Nunez but have been shopping closer to home of late.
Celtic teenager Ben Doak and Fulham playmaker Fabio Carvalho have already agreed to join Liverpool.
It looks like Liverpool are trying to bring in young talent to develop the next generation of stars for Jurgen Klopp to work with.
After landing Doak from Celtic, Liverpool now want to add another Scottish talent in Ramsay.
Liverpool are closing in on Calvin Ramsay
Reports on Tuesday suggested that Ramsay wants to play for Liverpool as he is keen to work under Klopp.
Liverpool are allegedly offering £3.5million with major add-ons involved to try and tempt Aberdeen into selling.
The latest update from the Daily Record states that Ramsay’s move to Liverpool is now edging closer and closer.
It’s suggested that Liverpool are confident that a deal for Ramsay will be agreed by the end of the week.
Ramsay is now ready and waiting for permission from Aberdeen to travel down to Merseyside for a medical and agreeing personal terms.

It all looks very positive for Liverpool with Ramsay seeming on the verge of becoming a Liverpool player.
Ramsay, 18, is an exciting young right back and can offer great competition for Trent Alexander-Arnold over the coming years.
The Scot burst onto the scene this past season and registered nine assists in 33 outings for Aberdeen.
This is a gamble for Ramsay though as he risks primarily being a substitute for a long time yet.
Alexander-Arnold isn’t going anywhere in the near future and Ramsay won’t want to see his development stall.
It looks like a bargain for Liverpool though, bringing in a quality youngster for a cheap price whilst being able to sell Neco Williams without weakening their depth options.
