Harry Redknapp has urged Everton and Leeds United to sign Gareth Bale this summer, as he told talkSPORT on Wednesday morning.
The former Premier League boss added that he would ‘take a gamble’ on the Wales international, if he was Everton or Leeds.
Bale won his fifth Champions League crown last month in Real Madrid colours and he is now set to leave on a free-transfer upon the expiry of his contract at the end of June.
With Wales qualifying for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the 32-year-old needs to find a new club in order to prepare for the winter tournament in November.
And Redknapp, who managed Bale during his time at Tottenham, suggested where the Welshman should go.
“I would take a gamble with him if I was in the Premier League,” said Redknapp.
“I think when he went to Tottenham, he didn’t really get the chance to play. He didn’t get a run. It seemed as though it wasn’t Jose’s choice (to sign him).
“If I was an Everton or Leeds. Good clubs. That take gambles. I would take a little gamble on him.
“The wages are a problem. But if he wants to play, then he’s not going to get £600k-a-week anymore. Them days are finished. He has had that. He doesn’t need it.
“I still think he can do it at the top level for another year.”

SHORT TERM DEAL FOR BALE COULD BE VALUABLE FOR MANY PL CLUBS
On a short-term deal, if the wages aren’t an issue, then Bale would be a valuable asset to many Premier League clubs.
In truth, someone like Everton, who have splashed the cash in a crazy fashion over the years, aren’t probably in a financial situation to sign Bale this summer.
But Leeds, who are now managed by Jesse Marsch, could make a statement or two by bringing him to the club.
The only issue is that Bale might want a short-term contract, possibly only until November, because it wouldn’t be a surprise if he retires after playing at the World Cup with Wales.
