Everton want Harry Winks but only fancy a loan deal for the Tottenham Hotspur man rather than paying £20million for him.
The Toffees are desperate for reinforcements this summer having narrowly avoided relegation from the Premier League.
The problem for Frank Lampard and co is that Everton don’t have the biggest budget to play with last things stand.
Some players could be sold to raise funds for new signings but this could be a tricky summer for Everton.
Everton want Harry Winks
It may not come as a huge surprise but Lampard allegedly wants to bolster his midfield options this summer.
As a former midfielder himself, Lampard will no doubt want the very best in his engine room.
Abdoulaye Doucoure remains a solid performer but there have been rumours linking Allan with a return to Italy.
The Telegraph now claim that Lampard is keen to bring Tottenham midfielder Winks to Everton this summer.
It’s stated that Tottenham has been he can leave this summer and there is a £20million price tag on his head.
That’s a problem for Everton given their financial constraints, and they would instead like to agree a loan with option to buy.

Whether Tottenham accept that remains to be seen given that they are looking to sell Winks to raise funds of their own.
Winks was praised by Antonio Conte as a dependable and committed player with great personality on the ball.
Tottenham are now back in the Champions League though and are likely targeting more quality in midfield this summer.
That would push Winks even further down the pecking order and it just makes sense to sell their homegrown midfielder this summer.
Everton may he hope to swoop in and sign Winks but striking a deal with Tottenham may not be easy if they only want a loan deal right now.
