Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are lining up a move for Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn, according to The Daily Mail.

The report has claimed that Tottenham are considering re-signing Christian Eriksen on a free transfer, and that a bid for Villa star McGinn is ‘being lined up’.

John McGinn would make Tottenham Hotspur better

In our view, Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn would be a good signing for Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.

The £70,000-a-week (SalarySport) Scotland international midfielder is a very dynamic player who is at the top of his game at the moment.

The 27-year-old is in his prime now, and given how successful he has been for Villa in the Premier League, we can expect him to make an immediate impact at Tottenham.

Spurs will play in the Champions League next season, and that could be very appealing too the former Hibernian star.

Having said that, we have to note that Villa are unlikely to make it easy for Tottenham to sign McGinn this summer.

Villa are a rich and established club in the Premier League, and they are surely going to ask for a lot of money in transfer fees.
