Tottenham want to sign Alessandro Bastoni but Inter Milan are ‘stuck’ in their negotiations with Torino for potential replacement Bremer.
Tottenham have already raided Inter once by signing Ivan Perisic on a free transfer this summer.
Perisic’s contract is up this summer so Tottenham didn’t need to negotiate directly with Inter about a potential deal.
Antonio Conte wants another Inter player though and it won’t be easy to convince them to sell defender Bastoni.
Tottenham are moving for the Italian though in the hope of reuniting him with Conte.
Tottenham want to sign Alessandro Bastoni
Ben Davies was herculean for Wales on Sunday but he has no competition for the left-sided role in Conte’s back three.
Bastoni is the preferred target for Tottenham but he will be very, very expensive.
The Daily Mail claim that Tottenham are confident of bringing Bastoni to North London but Inter won’t sell easily.
La Repubblica now report that Inter and Tottenham are locked in talks over Bastoni and the defender can leave for €60million (£51.5million).
The problem is that Inter would like a replacement and they are struggling to secure the man they want.

That La Repubblica report claims that Inter are in talks with Torino for their defender Bremer, who has already agreed a deal with Inter.
Yet the talks between the two clubs aren’t going as well and whilst Torino want €35million (£30million), Inter are only offering €25million (£21.5million).
That means the negotiations are ‘stuck’ and Inter may not be able to sign the Brazilian this summer.
That could severely dent Tottenham’s hopes of signing Bastoni, but Tottenham are also thought to be viewing Bremer as an alternative to Bastoni.
The Torino star seems key to this transfer saga but Tottenham will be throwing everything at Inter to sell Bastoni this summer.
