Niko Kranjcar has told the Tottenham website that new signing Ivan Perisic is “phenomenal” with both feet and does not boast any significant weaknesses. Kranjcar believes Tottenham’s latest signing will hit the ground running at Spurs.
Perisic, 33, joins Tottenham after seven years at Inter Milan – where he clocked up 104 goal involvements in 254 games. He was a crucial part of Antonio Conte’s Inter that won the League and Cup double in 2020-21.
Now, he reunites with Conte’s men having signed a two-year deal at Spurs. His Inter contract had come to an end and he will be joining the club officially on July 1. Many are excited by Perisic, but worried about his age.

However, ex-Spurs midfielder Kranjcar has quickly reassured fans that he will be a brilliant signing. He thinks Perisic is just as equally important for the rise of the Croatia National side as Luka Modric, and believes he will shine for Spurs.
“I really don’t think or expect he will take long to adapt to the Premier League. Along with Luka (Modric), he is probably the biggest reason that the Croatian national team has had the success it has had,” Kranjcar said.
“His strike is phenomenal with both feet. Great physique. A true professional and I can’t think of anything that would hinder him from showing all of his qualities. He is an all-round player that really doesn’t have much of a weakness.”
Kranjcar: Tottenham signing Perisic is ‘phenomenal’
Yes, many can point to his age and question the move. But Antonio Conte is not one for sticking around at a football club for more than a few seasons. So, by the time Conte does go, Perisic might not have turned 36.
Perisic is a player that is 33 on paper, but is 25 in terms of his fitness. His work rate is incredible, a player that will run miles for his club. The left wing-back slot under Conte is perfect for the 113-time Croatia star.
