Arsenal and Tottenham both want Raheem Sterling – and he is considering leaving Manchester City as a free agent in 2023.

Sterling’s decision to leave Liverpool for City in a £49million move back in 2015 has certainly paid dividends.

Sterling has racked up four Premier League titles with City as well as six domestic cups in a trophy-laden stint at the Etihad Stadium.

The 27-year-old has also recorded 131 goals in 339 games for City, enjoying some quite remarkable seasons in the process.

Sadly for City though, Sterling’s time with the club may be coming to an end in the near future.

Sterling’s contract ends in 2023 and City will soon need to decide whether to move on or give him a new deal.

The England international will be a man in demand should he become available any time soon.

The Mirror report that Arsenal and Tottenham both fancy Sterling – and he is weighing up his options.

Sterling is allegedly considering seeing out the final year of his contract and leaving City for absolutely nothing in 2023.

Sterling wants assurances over his role under Pep Guardiola and wants an increase on his £300,000-a-week wages.

It therefore feels a little unlikely that we see Sterling join Arsenal or Tottenham if he wants that kind of money.

That’s despite claims that Sterling would like to play for Antonio Conte at Tottenham, whilst he also has a relationship with Mikel Arteta from their time together at City.

Sterling seemingly fancies moving abroad and he would surely be inundated with offers should he become a free agent.

Talks over the summer will be crucial here, as if Sterling doesn’t get the promises he wants, he may instead leave City out of pocket next year.
