Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United are interested in signing Alex Grimaldo from Benfica in the summer transfer window, according to A Bola.
The Portugal publication have claimed that Juventus are also keen on securing the services of the 26-year-old left-back.
Benfica are open to selling the Spanish left-back for €15-20 million (£12.88-£17.17m), according to the report.
Arsenal or Newcastle United for Alex Grimaldo?
In our view, Arsenal have a better chance of signing Alex Grimaldo than Newcastle United.
Now, of course, Newcastle are a big club and have wealthy owners in PIF.
However, the Magpies are just starting their grand project.
Grimaldo has been at Benfica since 2016 and is used to playing in European competitions.

Arsenal will play in the Europa League next season, and that will surely appeal to the former Spain Under-21 international.
Kieran Tierney is the first-choice left-back at Arsenal at the moment, but he has had injury problems.
Nuno Tavares could be sent out on loan for next season, so Grimaldo could be given the chance to at least fight for his place in manager Mikel Arteta’s starting lineup.
Grimaldo made 27 starts and two substitute appearances in the Portuguese league for Benfica this past season.
The 26-year-old scored five goals and gave five assists in those games.
The left-back also gave three assists in 10 Champions League matches this past campaign.
