Football-Oranje have rated Bergwijn’s display for the Netherlands against Belgium as 9/10 and has described it as “excellent”.
The Netherlands got the better of Belgium 4-1 in the UEFA Nations League on Friday evening.
Tottenham attacker Bergwijn scored in the 40th minute.
The former PSV star started alongside Memphis Depay in a front-two for the Netherlands.

Tottenham Hotspur and Netherlands star Steven Bergwijn praised
Football-Oranje wrote about the £73,000-a-week (SalarySport) Tottenham player: “Van Gaal has clearly unlocked the power of Bergwijn, who was once again excellent for the Netherlands up front.
“Scored the opener with an excellent strike and was a constant threat. Has five goals in his last four internationals.”
Exit possible
Steven Bergwijn has been the subject of intense speculation in recent days, and it looks likely that the Dutchman will leave Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.
Ajax’s bid for the 24-year-old has been turned down, but he is still very likely to make the move to the Dutch giants, according to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.
Bergwijn himself has said that he wants to leave and will “join the club that’s the best option for” him.
Tottenham have a very good and competitive attacking unit, and we can understand why Bergwijn wants to leave.
As we saw against Belgium, the Dutchman is a very good attacking player, and there is no point in him wasting his time warming the bench at Tottenham.
