Brazil secured a superb 5-1 win over South Korea on Wednesday but Leeds star Raphinha has been criticised. Globo Esporte claim the Whites hero was wasteful and even ‘annoyed’ his Brazil manager Tite.

The 25-year-old’s future at Leeds remains a doubt as Barcelona continue to push for his signature. But doubt is creeping in over whether the Nou Camp side can afford a move, with Leeds remaining stubborn over his price tag.

Raphinha clocked up his eighth cap for Brazil this week, in a friendly against South Korea. Brazil eased to a 5-1 win on Wednesday, with Neymar, Raphinha, Lucas Paqueta and Richarlison forming a four-man attack.

But the Leeds star failed to register a goal or an assist and despite the win, GE were harsh in their verdict. They handed him a 6/10 but accused him of being poor in terms of finishing – and that he ‘annoyed’ his manager.

“In the first half, he annoyed Tite a little for not being so “spiky” on the right wing. He had opportunities to score in the final stage, but he didn’t finish well. He can do more,” GE report, in their player ratings piece.

Brazil win but Leeds star Raphinha criticised: Mind on other things?

It might have been an added pressure going into Wednesday’s friendly against Son Heung-min’s side. While Brazil were excellent, Raphinha was below par and was eventually hooked on 78 minutes for Gabriel Jesus.

With Barcelona seemingly struggling to stump up the necessary funds to land Raphinha, frustration may have been on the Leeds star’s mind. It is no secret he would love to move to the Nou Camp this summer.

It is likely to be a question over whether Barcelona can move on some of their dead wood. The likes of Clement Langlet, who is in talks with Tottenham. Plenty of time, though, this summer.
