Tottenham Hotspur want Nordi Mukiele – and RB Leipzig are eyeing Leeds United target Rasmus Kristensen as a possible replacement.
It feels like numerous Leipzig players are linked with exits every summer.
Last summer it was Marcel Sabitzer, Dayot Upamecano and Ibrahima Konate. Before them, Timo Werner and Naby Keita.
Much of the focus this summer will be on Christopher Nkunku, but there are other Leipzig players being targeted.
Tottenham Hotspur want Nordi Mukiele
The Mirror reported over the weekend that Tottenham are interested in snapping up Mukiele this summer.
It’s stated that Leipzig want around £17million for Mukiele and Tottenham face a major battle for his signature.
Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are in the mix too with all three sides offered the chance to sign Mukiele.
Heading towards the final year of his contract at Leipzig, it seems that Mukiele could be sold before he walks away for free.
Capable of playing as a right-sided centre back or wing back, Mukiele could appeal to Tottenham in Antonio Conte’s 3-4-3 system.
Leipzig seem to be planning for Mukiele’s exit – and it may just come as a major blow to Leeds United.
Kicker claim that Leipzig are preparing an offer to sign right back Rasmus Kristensen from partner club Red Bull Salzburg.
The Dane looks set to move on this summer and Leipzig are now keen to bring him over to Germany.
This comes as The Athletic claim that Leeds would like to sign Kristensen this summer as they chase a new right back.
Kristensen worked with Jesse Marsch at Salzburg and they could reunite at Elland Road.
Yet with Leipzig offering Champions League football, Leeds may find themselves in a very tough battle for Kristensen’s signature.
Much will depend on Mukiele’s future though, with Tottenham potentially holding the key to Leeds’ chances of landing Kristensen.
