Tottenham Hotspur have signed Ivan Perisic – and have cleared up some confusion over the length of the winger’s contract in the process.
Having qualified for the Champions League, Tottenham are in the market for signings to bolster Antonio Conte’s squad this summer.
Tottenham will likely go for a number of players with real potential in the future, but Conte also wants proven players too.
Conte has now swooped to sign a player he has already worked with having brought Perisic to North London.
Tottenham Hotspur have signed Ivan Perisic
After days of speculation, Tottenham have now confirmed the signing of wing back Perisic.
Perisic played under Conte during the 2020-21 season at Inter, winning the Serie A title together.
The Croatian has jumped at the chance to join forces with Conte once again and should be a fine addition to the Tottenham side.
There has been some confusion over just how long Perisic has signed for this afternoon.
Tottenham released a video where Perisic says that Spurs will be his home ‘for the next three years’ when all reports indicated it would be a two-year deal.

Even if Perisic said a ‘few’ years, it was still unclear just how long Perisic had signed for after penning his deal.
The very same video was released on Tottenham’s official website, but they had cut out the part where Perisic said he was signing for three years.
The situation was cleared up eventually though as Tottenham confirmed that Perisic has signed a two-year deal until 2024.
Maybe there was a mix-up, maybe it was just a slip of the tongue from Perisic maybe there is an option in the deal that hasn’t been publicised.
Either way, Perisic is signed up for two years and not three, taking him up to the age of 35.
