According to London World, Crystal Palace are now interested in bringing West Ham target Emmanuel Dennis back to the Premier League.

What’s the story?

Well, this would be a sensational signing for the south Londoners, although they face competition from the Hammers in east London.

Dennis has just enjoyed a phenomenal campaign for Watford from an individual point of view, although the Hornets were sadly relegated after finishing 19th.

The Nigeria international – who Watford paid just £3m for – scored ten goals in 33 Premier League appearances, while also providing six assists.

Unsurprisingly, the 24-year-old’s 16 goal involvements earned him Watford’s Player of the Season award at Vicarage Road, according to London World, although it was Hassane Kamara who won the club’s official Player of the Season award.

Now, Patrick Vieira could benefit from Watford’s relegation, with the Eagles eyeing a move for Dennis if they are unable to land Eddie Nketiah.

It seems Crystal Palace will struggle to sign the 22-year-old, as he is now close to signing a new contract at Arsenal.

Therefore, we expect Vieira to pursue a deal for Dennis, although London World add that West Ham have already spoken to his agent.

In our view, if Dennis wants a better chance of regular first-team action, he should choose West Ham over Crystal Palace.

Vieira already has Wilfried Zaha, Odsonne Edouard, Michael Olise, Jean-Philippe Mateta and Christian Benteke as part of his frontline.

In West Ham’s case, David Moyes doesn’t really have many options – the Scot is overly reliant on Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen in attack.

In truth, the Irons are yet to replace Sebastien Haller, which is a surprise given the fact he left for Ajax in January 2021.

However, Benteke could leave Selhurst Park and make Vieira pursue another option in attack, so anything is possible this summer.

Be sure to keep an eye on the situation involving Dennis, as he is far too good to be playing Championship football.
