Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte believes that Ivan Perisic could help Ryan Sessegnon and ‘has high hopes’ for the English youngster, according to Football.London.

The report has claimed that Tottenham head coach Conte believes that Sessegnon, who can play as a left-back, left-winger or left wing-back, could flourish next season if he ‘can get a good full pre-season under his belt and steer clear of further hamstring woes’.

Tottenham have just signed Croatia international Perisic on a free transfer, and Conte and the North London club’s managing director of football Fabio Paratici reportedly believe that 33-year-old winger/wing-back could mentor Sessegnon and push him to greater heights.

Ryan Sessegnon could star for Tottenham under Antonio Conte

In our view, Ryan Sessegnon could be a star for Tottenham Hotspur in the coming years.

The £30 million signing from Fulham in the summer of 2019 (Football.London) has had injury problems, and that has affected him.

However, we all know his potential.

And let us not forget that Sessegnon is only 22.

He is still learning his trade and developing as a footballer.

Now, it is very likely that Perisic will start next season as the first-choice left wing-back, if Conte decides to play him in that role.

Sessegnon could learn from him by watching him in training and in matches.

Tottenham will play in the Champions League next season, and there will also be FA Cup and the Carabao Cup matches as well as Premier League fixtures.

So, Sessegnon will get playing time.

Meanwhile, The London Evening Standard have reported that Leicester City are among the clubs interested in signing Harry Winks from Premier League rivals Tottenham in the summer transfer window.
