Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are favourites to sign Arsenal target Djed Spence in the summer transfer window, according to the Sunday Mirror (29/5; page 76).
The report has calmed that Middlesbrough could sell Spence for £10 million, and that Tottenham are the favourites to secure the services of the right-back.
The 21-year-old is on loan at Nottingham Forest from Middlesbrough at the moment.
Forest will win promotion to the Premier League if they beat Huddersfield Town in the Championship playoff final on Sunday.
The Sun have reported that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are keen on signing the England Under-21 international, described as “outstanding” and “absolutely fantastic” by former Chelsea player Andy Townsend on talkSPORT (5:43pm, March 21, 2022).

Tottenham Hotspur better than Arsenal for Djed Spence
In our view, Tottenham Hotspur would be a better club than Arsenal for Djed Spence.
The Gunners have Takehiro Tomiyasu as their first-choice right-back, and Spence would have to play second fiddle to the Japan international.
Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte reportedly wants to sign Spence to play as a right wing-back in place of Emerson Royal.
This suggests that the youngster would have a better chance of playing regular first-team football at Tottenham than at Arsenal.
Spence has made 40 starts and one substitute appearance in the Championship for Forest this season.
The youngster has scored two goals and given four assists in those matches.
