Arsenal Technical Director Edu has personally spoken to Tottenham Hotspur transfer target and Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus, according to Sky Sports journalist Michael Bridge.
Bridge has told GiveMeSport that Arsenal Technical Director Edu has told his Brazilian compatriot Jesus that he will be the Gunners’ number nine if he moves from Manchester City in the summer transfer window.
The Telegraph reported this week that Tottenham want to sign the Brazilian striker, who is aware of interest from Antonio Conte’s side.
Bridge told GiveMeSport: “Gabriel Jesus has been told by Edu that he will be Arsenal’s number nine.
“I’d imagine City will entertain the likes of Tottenham being involved in a bit of a bidding war and Tottenham have that carrot of Champions League football over Arsenal, but Arsenal would stress that Jesus would be a central part, whereas you can’t convince anyone of that when you’ve got Harry Kane.”

Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspur for Gabriel Jesus?
In our view, Gabriel Jesus would be better off at Arsenal than at Tottenham Hotspur.
Yes, Tottenham have a world-class manager in Antonio Conte, and they will also be in the Champions League next season.
But, Spurs also have a certain Harry Kane, one of the best strikers in the world.
Now, Kane is the number one striker at Tottenham, who also have Son Heung-min banging in the goals for fun for the North London club.
Would Jesus be able to play as the number nine at Spurs?
No.
So, in our view, if the £90,000-a-week (Spotrac) striker wants to be the main man upfront at any club, then he should move to Arsenal.
