Henrikh Mkhitaryan is a former Arsenal player, but that has not stopped Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur from taking an interest in him. Aston Villa are also claimed to be keen on the 33-year-old attacking midfielder.
Well-known and well-respected Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla reported earlier this month that Tottenham, Villa, Inter Milan and Napoli all want to sign former Arsenal and Manchester United player Mkhitaryan in the summer transfer window.
The 33-year-old, who can also operate as a winger, is out of contract at Roma this summer and is available on a free transfer.
Italian football journalist and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has an update on the situation of Mkhitaryan.
Tottenham and Aston Villa target Henrikh Mkhitaryan has Inter Milan offer
Romano has reported on Twitter this afternoon that Inter have told Serie A rivals AS Roma that they are now “in official talks” with the Armenian player.
Inter, who won the Serie A title in 2020-21 and is Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte’s former club, have reached “a verbal agreement” with the former Borussia Dortmund player.

Mkhitaryan made 29 starts and two substitute appearances in Serie A for Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma this season.
The Armenian star scored five goals and gave six assists in those games.
