Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s Rangers and Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic have joined Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United and Frank Lampard’s Everton in the race for Tom Lawrence, according to TEAMtalk.
TEAMtalk are reporting this morning that Rangers and Celtic are among the clubs who are keen on signing the departing Derby County captain on a free transfer.
Southampton, Leeds, Bournemouth, Fulham, Watford, West Bromwich Albion and Nottingham Forest are also reported to be interested in securing the services of the 28-year-old Wales international forward in the summer transfer window.
Earlier this month, The Daily Mail reported that Leeds and Everton are interested in Lawrence, and now it seems that Van Bronckhorst’s Rangers and Postecoglou’s Celtic have joined the race for Lawrence, who scored 37 goals and have 25 assists in 185 games for Derby.
Could Rangers or Celtic sign Tom Lawrence?
In our view, Rangers and Celtic would find it extremely tough to sign Tom Lawrence on a free transfer this summer.

Yes, Rangers and Celtic are massive clubs who will play in Europe next season, but the likes of Leeds, Fulham and Southampton are Premier League teams.
They would be able to offer Lawrence more salary than Rangers and Celtic could, and the Premier League is also the most-watched and the most prestigious domestic league in the world.
