Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United are competing with Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Southampton for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks, according to The Daily Mail.
The Daily Mail have reported that Newcastle and Southampton want to sign the 26-year-old English midfielder from Tottenham in the summer transfer window.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has decided to sell Winks, who has played 128 times in the Premier League so far in his career, and will want £20-£25 million for him, according to the report.
Tottenham’s Harry Winks could flourish at Newcastle
In our view, Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks could flourish at Newcastle United under manager Eddie Howe.

Howe is a very good manager who did well to keep Newcastle in the Premier League.
We know that Winks is a very capable midfielder who can hold his own in the middle of the park.
The Englishman is a good passer of the ball and can play a good supporting role in the middle of the park.
Now, of course, Winks is not a player who can lead in midfield, but he is a good supporting cast who would make Newcastle better.
