Arsenal are ready to sell Daniel Ballard this summer as the defender returns from his loan spell at Millwall this summer.

The Gunners face a big summer as they need to bring in some quality recruits without having Champions League money.

Fans will be focused on incoming signings but Edu and Mikel Arteta also need to make decisions on some returning loan players.

The likes of William Saliba, Hector Bellerin, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Reiss Nelson and Folarin Balogun will be coming back to Arsenal this summer.

Arsenal will need to make decisions on all of those players, but they seem to know what they want to do with Daniel Ballard.

Ballard spent last season on loan at Championship side Millwall.

This was the next step in his development having been on loan in League Two with Swindon Town and then League One with Blackpool.

Now 22, Ballard hasn’t really come close to first-team action at Arsenal but has 13 caps for Northern Ireland.

It may now be time for Ballard to move on and settle down elsewhere ahead of turning 23 in September.

Goal now report that Arsenal are ready to sell Ballard this summer.

It’s claimed that Arsenal don’t think Ballard will have a path to first-team football by staying at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal have held talks with the defender about his future and there is now a mutual agreement that he can move on this summer.

A number of clubs in England and abroad are keen on signing Ballard and Arsenal will let it happen.

Ian Wright hailed a ‘fantastic’ Ballard goal for Northern Ireland against Lithuania in 2021 whilst the Northern Irish praise dubbed Ballard a ‘huge talent’.

It now seems that Ballard will have to show that talent elsewhere as Arsenal prepare to say goodbye.
