Tottenham Hotspur want free agents this summer and are prepared to pay big money to bring them to North London after sealing Champions League football.
Hammering Norwich City 5-0 at Carrow Road on Sunday afternoon sealed Tottenham’s spot in the top four.
It’s a great achievement for Antonio Conte to have taken this Tottenham side into the top four
Few could have expected that when Conte replaced Nuno Espirito Santo back in November.
Now back at European football’s top table, Tottenham will need to bring in some quality signings this summer to bolster Conte’s squad.
Fans are looking for big money to spent – especially after a £150million cash injection – but Fabio Paratici may have other ideas.
Tottenham Hotspur want free agents
Football London reporter Alasdair Gold – one of the most reliable Tottenham sources out there – has indicated that Tottenham want free agents.
Gold stated on YouTube that Tottenham are ready to offer ‘good wages’ to free agents this summer in the hope of luring them to London.
Gold noted that Paratici is always a fan of free transfers having signed many of them during his time at Juventus.
“What has maybe has gone under the radar a little bit is that Paratici likes a free transfer,” said Gold. “He’s very good at them, he got a lot of them over the line at Juventus.”
“My point was about the free transfers, is that Paratici – especially with Champions League football on offer – can now go to various people on free transfers and he can make a compelling case for coming to Tottenham and working with Conte.”
“Spurs, I understand, will offer the good wages for these players as well because obviously they’re not costing anything,” he added.

That will leave Tottenham fans just who could be arriving on a free transfer this summer.
The first name is Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster, who will be undergoing a medical with Tottenham very soon ahead of a free transfer move.
Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic will be a very appealing option as a wing back having worked under Antonio Conte at Inter.
Juventus playmaker Paulo Dybala is arguably the biggest-name free agent and Fabio Paratici signed him for Juve.
An obvious link will be Christian Eriksen, the former Tottenham midfielder who will be out of contract at Brentford this summer.
Other notable free agents to consider are James Tarkowski, Axel Witsel, Andrea Belotti, Florian Grillitsch and Jesse Lingard, who have all been linked with Tottenham in recent times.
