Tim Sherwood has questioned why Heung-Min Son is ‘never’ linked away from Tottenham Hotspur.
This isn’t a case of trying to sell the 2021/22 Premier League Golden Boot winner, but questioning why his name is never in the transfer rumour mill.
On the final day of the Premier League season, Son netted a brace against Norwich City to win his first-ever Golden Boot.
It’s a remarkable achievement from the South Korean star, as he can now put his name amongst the best of the best, including next season in the Champions League.
Ex-Spurs boss Sherwood told MatchDay Extra on PLP (22/05/22 at 8:15 pm) that Son is a player that turns up ‘every week’ after he secured the Golden Boot award.
“He’s never linked with anywhere,” said Sherwood. “Amazingly, it’s always Harry Kane who is linked.
“But he has contributed. Sonny has been brilliant. He has been a pleasure for any manager to work with. He turns up every week. He has got the respect of his teammates and is a great example to the younger boys.
“He trains hard. Works tirelessly out of possession. When he gets a chance, he scores. He assists. And he has been brilliant.
“I just don’t know. I never know why he is never linked. I have to ask the question all the time, why is it?
“Daniel Levy is very astute and he has got him down to a long contract. But so is Harry Kane – Son is just happy at Tottenham.”

SON AND KANE’S QUALITY DESERVING OF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FOOTBALL
A player of Son’s quality, added with Harry Kane, just had to be performing in the Champions League next season.
The duo are some of the world’s best and they have built an incredible partnership in England’s top flight.
It’s just a case of now marrying all of that together and adding a few trophies to the club’s cabinet.
Spurs have a trophy-laden coach in Antonio Conte in the dugout, he has done his job on the field, now it’s time for Daniel Levy to back him from the boardroom.
