Arsenal defensive midfielder Mohamed Elneny is not going to leave the Gunners in the summer transfer window, according to The London Evening Standard.
The report has claimed that Arsenal will hand Elneny a one-year contract extension.
The Egypt international recently said that he would stay at Arsenal if the Gunners would want him to.
A photo also emerged on Sunday following Arsenal’s match against Everton at the Emirates Stadium in North London which looked as though the 29-year-old was signing his new deal.
Mohamed Elneny stay at Arsenal makes sense
In our opinion, keeping Mohamed Elneny at Arsenal for another season makes sense for the North London club.
The 29-year-old is not a regular in the Gunners’ first team, but when called upon, he has done well.

Elneny gave a good account of himself in the final games of the season due to injury to Thomas Partey.
The Egyptian has been at Arsenal since 2016 and knows the club inside out.
Keeping a senior player in the squad, especially if he is happy warming the bench, is sensible.
Elneny made eight starts and six substitute appearances in the Premier League for Arsenal this season.
The Arsenal no. 25 gave two assists in those matches.
