Inter Milan CEO Beppe Marotta has said that he is confident that Ivan Perisic will sign a new contract, amid interest from Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur, as quoted in TMW.
Perisic is out of contract at Inter this summer and has been linked with a move to Tottenham.
ESPN reported over the weekend that Tottenham are interested in signing the winger in the summer transfer window.
The 33-year-old Croatia international himself is willing to make a move to Spurs, according to the report.
Conte worked with the £125,000-a-week star (SalarySport) at Inter, and the former Chelsea manager reportedly believes that the Croatian would succeed in a wing-back role at Tottenham.

However, Inter chief Marotta believes that the club will, agree a new deal with Perisic.
Inter Milan stance on Tottenham target Ivan Perisic
TMW quotes Marotta as saying about Perisic on Sunday: “We will do our best, but I am confident, because we both would like to continue our relationship. Next week we will meet the entourage. I hope we can reach a positive conclusion.”
Decision soon
In our opinion, Beppe Marottas comments suggest that Tottenham Hotspur will get to know more about Ivan Perisic’s situation in the coming days.
It will be interesting to see if Perisic accepts a new deal with Inter.
Inter won the Serie A title last season and pushed AC Milan for the Scudetto until the final day of this campaign.
Tottenham ended up fourth in the Premier League table this season and will play in the Champions League in 2022-23.
Conte knows Perisic well, and maybe a move to Tottenham could be very appealing to the Croatian.
