Gary Neville has labelled Manchester City’s 3-2 win over Aston Villa as ‘unbelievable’, as they beat Liverpool to the Premier League title on the final day of the season, as he told Sky Sports.

In quite incredible scenes at the Etihad, Man City came from 2-0 down to beat Liverpool to the title – Neville praised both Liverpool and Man City for their efforts and reacted to Pep Guardiola crying at the end of the game.

Liverpool, in the end, did their job by beating Wolves, but it was a quite remarkable afternoon and finale in Manchester.

Villa shocked the hosts when Matty Cash put them 1-0 up, and then Philippe Coutinho added to the fairytale afternoon by adding a second.

That’s when the comeback started and Steven Gerrard’s side just couldn’t stop the Man City train from putting in one, two and then a crucial third.

Nonetheless, this is what Neville made of it all, as Man City secured another Premier League title.

“It’s unbelievable,” said Neville. “De Bruyne, the class. But Ilkay Gundogan, you little dancer!

“It’s a mesmerising finish to this game and to this season, honestly. Gundogan celebrates, but Kevin de Bruyne, you are absolute class.

“Well, Pep Guardiola can’t cope. That shot of him crying just says it all. An incredible football season. Congratulations to Manchester City. Congratulations to Liverpool.

“Head-to-head all the way through to the end. Non-stop. Relentless and brilliant – you won’t get many better seasons than that.”

When Sergio Aguero scored that goal against QPR many years ago, not many would have expected such a finish again.

But Man City have probably taken it up to another level with that quite stunning comeback against Villa.

Either way, whilst Man City celebrate the title, Liverpool can’t dwell on this too long.

They were underdogs going into this match and they have the Champions League final to deal with next week.
