Tottenham continue to be linked with Weston McKennie amid claims that Juventus have sent a representative to London this week.

Tottenham are set to secure Champions League football as long as they don’t lose to already-relegated Norwich City.

Antonio Conte will be desperate for major additions this summer but even more so if Tottenham are in the Champions League.

The Telegraph claim that Conte wants two midfielders this summer even after landing Rodrigo Bentancur in January.

One name regularly linked is McKennie – and there are more rumours emerging today.

Tottenham continue to be linked with Weston McKennie

Back in April, Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Conte was asking for Fabio Paratici to sign McKennie for him.

The American international was signed by Paratici at Juventus and Conte is seemingly a huge fan.

Gazzetta dello Sport now claim that Federico Cherubini – the man who replaced Paratici as the sporting director at Juventus – is currently in London.

The focus has mostly been on signing Paul Pogba, Jorginho or Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes.

Yet as noted by Il Bianconero, it’s suggested that Cherubini may also speak to Tottenham about McKennie.

Paratici allegedly ‘loves’ McKennie and he could head to Tottenham if Juventus land their midfield targets.

Signing Pogba, Jorginho or both would certainly push McKennie down the Juventus pecking order.

McKennie, 23, has started 15 league games this season but suffered a season-ending injury against Villarreal back in February.

McKennie will be focused on getting himself fit and ready for pre-season training, which could end up being with Tottenham rather than Juve.

US legend Alexi Lalas compared McKennie to N’Golo Kante, a player who won the Premier League under Conte at Chelsea.

Conte may now want something similar in his midfield and that’s why Tottenham are still in the mix for McKennie this summer.
