Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly been offered an incredible goalscorer this summer.

According to 90 Min, as relayed by HITC Sport, the agent of Robert Lewandowski has floated his name to people at Spurs with regards to a potential transfer to North London.

Lewandowski revealed this past weekend that he was almost certainly leaving Bayern Munich during the summer window, but Fabrizio Romano reported that he had his heart set on Barcleona.

Whoever winds up signing the Poland international will be bagging themselves a frightening goalscorer.

That’s because the 33-year-old hitman has netted a staggering 50 goals in all competitions for the German giants this season [Transfermarkt].

That’s a phenomenal number and in fact, it’s more goals than Harry Kane and Son Heung-min have scored combined.

Kane has 26 goals in all competitions for the Lilywhites this season, four more than his South Korean teammate.

Is Lewandowski joining Tottenham?

Honestly, it would be a massive surprise.

With Kane and Son being the focal points of Spurs’ attack, there is no room in Antonio Conte’s first XI for the former Borussia Dortmund marksman next season.

It’s absolutely true that the Lilywhites need a striker this summer, because they have arguably never had a proper plan-b option to Kane;

But as his goal tally reflects, Lewandowski is one of the world’s most lethal goalscorers and people like this aren’t going to jump at the chance to take up the Vincent Janssen or Fernando Llorente role in North London as Kane’s understudy.

Besides, we’re talking about a player who earns over £350,000 per week in Bavaria [Salary Sport], meaning chairman Daniel Levy would never in a thousand years sign off on a deal for him if he wasn’t going to be playing every week which, due to Kane and Son, he certainly wouldn’t.
