According to Voetbal Primeur, Ibrahim Sangare will leave PSV Eindhoven in the coming weeks, as Crystal Palace and Newcastle aim to bring him to the Premier League.
What’s the story?
Well, both Patrick Vieira and Eddie Howe are seemingly interested in signing the Ivory Coast international, and they’ve now received a boost.
The Dutch news outlet believe Sangare is allowed to leave PSV Eindhoven, and he even has a fixed release clause which means there is no need for negotiating.
Voetbal Primeur are claiming that the 24-year-old has a release clause worth €40m (£34m) written into his contract.
That may seem like a steep sum, and in truth, it would be quite an expensive deal for Crystal Palace.
As things stand, their club-record signing is Christian Benteke, who arrived in a deal worth £27m.

In Newcastle’s case, they nearly paid that much for Chris Wood in January, and also shattered their own club-record fee when signing Bruno Guimaraes for £40m.
Therefore, it seems the Magpies are the most likely to trigger this release clause.
Crystal Palace mustn’t worry if Newcastle sign Ibrahim Sangare
If Newcastle win the race for Sangare, then Crystal Palace shouldn’t worry too much – it seems Vieira already has another option in his sights.
RC Lens midfielder Cheick Doucoure is the man in the spotlight, with some sources claiming that a £15m deal is already close to completion.
That news will come as a blow to Aston Villa, who were also interested in signing the Mali international, who once saw a move to Tottenham blocked.

Clearly, Doucoure is a good fit for the Premier League, or sides such as Spurs and Aston Villa wouldn’t be taking a look, as well as Crystal Palace.
Nevertheless, keep an eye on Sangare’s situation, as we wouldn’t be surprised to see his release clause triggered this summer.
