Carmen Electra celebrates 50th birthday by joining OnlyFans

Carmen Electra achieved her career breakthrough in 1997 when starring in America’s drama series Baywatch, the show that established the star as a sex symbol.

The model now plans to take her success over to OnlyFans, a subscription-based social media platform that is often utilised as an adult site, where users can both sell and purchase original content.

@carmenelectra boasts over one million followers on Instagram and a recent raunchy photo showing her lying down was accompanied by the teasing caption:

“Wednesday! I have a huge announcement only for my fans. Are you a fan?”

Speaking to People, the star said “it was like a no-brainer” to join OnlyFans and create content for her supporters.

Electra’s profile on the platform is due to launch today, on Wednesday 19th May 2022.

Although a creator with the username @therealcarmenelectra appears to go by the same name as the American actress, this is not Carmen Electra’s official OnlyFans platform.

Insight into her subscription-based service

In her interview with People, Carmen teases that her profile will include beauty tutorials, vacation content, swimwear and lingerie photos.

The star will also reportedly post “more sexy, classy pictures and videos,” while allowing her to be “a little bit more intimate” with her fans in one-on-one interactions.

Additionally, Electra notes that she won’t have to censor anything explicit with a strategically placed emoji on the privatised platform if she wants “to show a little bit more”.

Carmen Electra celebrated her 50th birthday while vacating in Palm Springs and the upcoming OnlyFans creator stated that her page will feature content from the recent trip, according to People.

The star spoke about her previous privacy problems

Electra also spoke to the magazine about undergoing previous issues with her privacy. In recent years, the star reportedly took out lawsuits against several strip clubs for using her likeness without permission.

Therefore, when discussing her decision to create an OnlyFans, Carmen said “it was like a no-brainer” and explained:

“I, for once, have this opportunity to be my own boss and have my own creative vision to share with my fans without someone.”

Electra continued:

“People are going to do what they want to do anyway with your photos, you might as well be in control of them and follow what you feel like doing inside.”

Carmen expressed that it feels good to “stand up” for herself, stating that it is “not always easy to do, but I do respect people that can stand up for who they are and be honest about it.”
