Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has told The Mirror that he would love to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe in the summer transfer window.

However, Klopp has made it clear that Liverpool are not going to sign the PSG striker.

Mbappe is out of contract at PSG this summer and has been linked with a move to Liverpool.

However, Marca are reporting that the £413,000-a-week (SalarySport) star will move to Spanish and European giants Real Madrid on a free transfer in the summer of 2022.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp on Kylian Mbappe

Klopp told The Mirror: “ “Of course we are interested in Kylian Mbappe, we are not blind!”

The Livepool boss added: ““It’s all set, it’s all fine. We of course like him and if you don’t like him then you have to question yourself.

“But no we are not, we cannot be part of these battles. There must be other clubs involved and that is fine. He is a great player.”

What if…

Mbappe is one of the best strikers in the world, and there is no doubt that he would be a brilliant signing for Liverpool.

Yes, the Reds have a superb attacking unit, but Mbappe has the potential to become the best player in the world.

The 23-year-old is a goal machine who would be able to bang in the goals for fun for Liverpool.

Mbappe has scored 25 goals and provided 17 assists in Ligue 1 and scored six goals and provided four assists in the Champions League this season.

Maybe one day Liverpool will be able to sign Mbappe, who is still only 23.
