Fabrizio Romano has reported that Tottenham are about to splash £67.5million to turn loan deals for Cristian Romero and Dejan Kulusevski into permanent moves. Both remain on loan from Atalanta, and Juventus.

Romero, 24, joined Tottenham last summer on loan from Atalanta and while he is contracted at the club until 2026 – it was always widely believed he would join permanently. Now, that deal is about to be exercised.

Meanwhile, Sweden ace Kulusevski has instantly made himself a fan favourite at Spurs – like Romero. Joining in January, he was filled the void in Tottenham’s front three alongside Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.

He already boasts 11 goal involvements in 19 games and is perfect for Antonio Conte’s system. Kulusevski is on an 18-month loan, but it is signing him this summer is cheaper than waiting until 2023.

Now, Romano claims Spurs are ready to splash the cash and spend nearly £70million to sign both permanently. Football London say Romero will cost £42.5million, while The Mail report Kulusevski is £25million.

Tottenham to buy Romero and Kulusevski: Good value for duo?

Paratici is beginning to show a philosophy behind his signings. Players with experience, but still young. Kulusevski at just 22 has 22 caps for Sweden and more than 130 club outings. Romero, has played 132 times at club level.

It fits in alongside Rodrigo Bentancur, who is still only 24. Bryan Gil, Pape Matar Sarr and Emerson Royal are between the age of 20 and 25. Expensive, but it is good business thanks to their impressive form in English football.
