Reported Tottenham Hotspur summer transfer target Adama Traore is aware that Leeds United want to sign him from Wolverhampton Wanderers, according to journalist Dean Jones.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has told GiveMeSport that Leeds want to sign Traore, now on loan at Barcelona from Wolves, and that the 26-year-old Spain international winger is aware of that.
Antonio Conte’s Tottenham are still interested in signing Traore, having tried to secure his services in the January transfer window, according to a report in Sport in March 2022.
Earlier this month, TEAMtalk reported that Leeds have made contact in regard to signing Traore, described as “electric” by Arsenal legend Martin Keown on talkSPORT (January 24, 2020).
Jones told GiveMeSport about Traore and Leeds: “He knows they want him. I think he’s been open to it in the past. If there’s no future for him at Wolves, or Barcelona, then he will have to consider it.”
Tottenham Hotspur or Leeds United for Adama Traore?
In our opinion, Tottenham would be more appealing than Leeds to Wolves-owned Barcelona winger Traore.
Leeds are having a torrid season and could get relegated to the Championship.
Meanwhile, Tottenham could finish in the Premier League top four and play in the Champions League next season.
Even if Tottenham do not get Champions League football, the North London club will still play in a European competition next season and will challenge for the Premier League top four again.
