Garth Crooks has written on BBC Sport that former Spurs attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen should return to Tottenham Hotspur and work with Antonio Conte again.
The BBC Sport pundit has praised Eriksen, and has said that he argued with Arsenal legend Martin Keown over a potential move for the attacking midfielder back to Tottenham.
The 30-year-old attacking midfielder will become a free agent this summer following his contract with Brentford.
The Denmark international played for Tottenham from 2013 until 2020 and worked with current Spurs head coach Antonio Conte at Inter Milan.
Crooks made his comments following Brentford’s 3-2 against Everton away from home at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Sunday.
Eriksen provided an assist and was a problem for Everton throughout his time on the pitch.

90min reported in April that Tottenham want to bring Eriksen back to the club, and that the North London outfit are confident of re-signing him.
Christian Eriksen urged to return to Tottenham Hotspur
Crooks wrote on BBC Sport: “What a difference a player makes. Since Eriksen’s arrival Brentford look like another team.
“Gone is the efficiency and effectiveness of a purely functional team, and enter the smooth, controlled, sophisticated play produced by the Dane.
“I argued with Martin Keown on Final Score last week that Eriksen must return to Spurs – Conte has shown interest in the former Tottenham man – and take the chance of playing European football again.
“Brentford have been good to Eriksen, which was Martin’s argument, and there is no doubt about that. But I couldn’t see Keown giving up a chance of playing European football given the chance so I don’t see why Eriksen should.”
Back to Spurs?
In our opinion, it would make sense for Christian Eriksen to return to Tottenham in the summer transfer window.
The 30-year-old would be a free signing for Tottenham, who know everything about the attacking midfielder.
Eriksen has played under Conte and won the Serie A title with Inter, so he would be well aware of how to play in the Italian’s system.
