Michael Dawson has claimed that Tottenham and Leeds transfer target, Brennan Johnson, has ‘taken the league by storm’ in the Championship.

The Tottenham ambassador added that the 20-year-old has been ‘electric’ for Nottingham Forest this season, as they are two games away from a return to the Premier League.

Johnson has been a key player for Forest this term, hence why the likes of Spurs, Leeds and Newcastle want to sign up the £20m-rated versatile forward.

On Saturday, Johnson scored as Forest beat Sheffield United 2-1 in the first leg of their Championship play-off semi-final at Bramall Lane.

That could prove to be a very pivotal goal, as Dawson lauded Johnson on Sky Sports Football.

“Two players (Brennan Johnson and Morgan Gibbs-White) that are really in form,” said Dawson. “They have really taken the league by storm.

“Brennan getting goals. Gets assists and likes to get in the area. Gets forward and links up play.

“It’s his first full season in the Championship and he been electric. Deserves all the credit.

“He got the EFL Young Player of the Year as well and rightly so.”

WILL BRENNAN JOHNSON END UP IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE NEXT SEASON EITHER WAY?

If Forest make a long-awaited return to the Premier League, then there is no way they lose Johnson’s attacking services.

Although, if they fall at the play-off hurdle, then those rumoured interested parties will want to pounce.

Johnson has showcased that he is pretty comfortable at playing across the front three.

Added with the fact that he is very comfortable on the ball, he glides across the pitch like a kite on a windy day and always has positive thoughts.
