Ian Wright has labelled Harry Kane as ‘very clever’ as Tottenham outclassed ten-man Arsenal 3-0 on Thursday night.
All the drama and action unfolded in the first half when Spurs put two goals past their north London rivals, as well as seeing Rob Holding getting sent off.
Before Holding was told to take an early shower, Kane opened the scoring from the penalty spot when Cedric Soares was penalised for a foul on Heung-Min Son.
Then Arsenal’s back-up centre-back proceeded to earn a second yellow card, before Kane headed from a corner just before the break to turn the game from bad to worse for the away side.
From Tottenham’s perspective, Wright praised Kane for how he found space to head home his second of the evening, as he told Premier League Productions (12/05/22 at 8:45 pm).
“Harry Kane is on his own at the back,” said Wright. “Eddie Nketiah hasn’t noticed him. Bentancur has got a free header.
“You have to give credit for the ball really. It’s a very good ball in. But, at the same time, I think with Harry Kane, someone like Holding might have been marking him from corners because no-one picked him up.
“I thought it was very clever from Harry Kane to just take himself out of it. Out of the melee, stay at the back, then when that ball comes in, if he gets his flick, then he gets (the goal) around the back.”

TOTTENHAM KEEP CHAMPIONS LEAGUE HOPES ALIVE
Arsenal knew before the game that three points would all but secure Champions League football for them.
But Antonio Conte has managed to have Spurs fighting for another day, as the momentum is well and truly with them now.
The issue facing Arsenal is that Gabriel seemed to pick up an injury last night, Ben White isn’t seemingly fit enough and now Holding is suspended.
Whereas Spurs have an attack that many will struggle to stop, including Heung-Min Son, who Wright claimed ‘terrified’ Holding yesterday.
